MEDIA TRAINING
Education and training are central to the Scala and the centre works with local schools colleges and community based learning initiatives to support the delivery of digital media provision for young people and adults.
The third floor of the Scala is equipped with state of the art equipment and facilities to enable individuals, organisations and businesses to participate and develop their learning in relation to all aspects of the arts and digital media, including film making and editing.
High end Apple Mac computers (MacBook Pro), professional level software (Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Adobe Creative Suite CS4) and a variety of additional equipment (Sony DVI cameras, Cannon ixus digital cameras, hard drives, printers etc.) are used for workshops and courses as well as available for large group hire.
